At this location, the Rhine leaves the main part of the Lake Constance. Only a few
kilometers later, it flows into the "Untersee" (the lowest part of the Lake Constance).
Indeed, Constance is not associated to Switzerland, but as a border town, it will be
driven also by Swiss railway vehicles. Especially, this is true for the "Seehas", the
line Constance-Radolfzell-Singen-Engen, which is operated by the SBB GmbH (a German
subcompany of the SBB) with Swiss railcars. Besides the single-tracked railway line, the present bridge contains also a road, which resides in the foreground from this point of view (looking from the Rhine towards the Lake Constance). The picture above shows only a part of the whole BahnLand scenario. Moving the picture to the left or to the right while pressing the right mouse button, the remaining parts of the scenario can be shown. | The line from Schaffhausen to Etzwilen, Stein am Rhein and Kreuzlingen diverges from the EuroCity line towards Stuttgart via Singen immediately in the north of the Schaffhausen railway station. Some few kilometers later, the line crosses the Rhine still within the municipal area of Schaffhausen with a long iron grid viaduct (scenarios 1-3). The stone arch viaduct visible at the 4th scenario picture is located immediately in the north of the Rhine viaduct described above. | |

| The line from Schaffhausen to Zürich crosses the Rhine near eglisau. This line is also used by the international fast trains between Zürich and Stuttgart. At the beginning of the 1970s, also the German TEE railcar 601 (VT11) drived along this line. | |
