Black Forest line

The Black Forest railway line leads from Offenburg in the Rhine valley to Singen near the lake constance, having the highest point near Sommerau. It was built by Robert Gerwig and opened at November 10, 1873. Robert Gerwig built also the Gotthard railway some years later.

The most interestinb building of the whole line may be the bridge at Hornberg, which crosses the Reichenbach valley branching to the East in a height of 23m.

The following pictures were made at October 25, 2003 above Triberg, at Hornberg, and from a free line area near Gutach.
